Insurance Options and Self-pay
Option 1: Insurance coverage with The Lactation Network
*Many* insurance plans are accepted through The Lactation Network (TLN). The Lactation Network is an organization that helps provide lactation services to families in need by connecting them with insurance-covered lactation consultations. TLN handles the paperwork and bills your insurance directly. Milk Medic is not involved in the financial arrangements with your insurance provider. If approved for these services, insurance plans may cover up to 6 lactation consultations with no/low out-of-pocket cost to you (client/patient). TLN works with most of the following:
- Blue Cross PPO
- Blue Shield PPO
- Anthem PPO
- VA CCN (Veterans Affairs Community Care Network) plans
- Most plans that utilize MultiPlan, PNOA, and PHCS
- UHC (HMO & Commercial plans; for in-person consultations only)
(Travel fee may apply and is not billable to insurance)
Option 2: Aetna or Tricare
If you have Aetna or Tricare insurance plans, please DO NOT fill out The Lactation Network or Wildflower inquiry form, as Milk Medic bills these insurances directly. We kindly ask that you let us know your insurance provider when filling out your contact information. (Travel fee may apply and is not billable to insurance)
Option 3: Cigna
Milk Medic is partnered with Wildflower Health for Cigna covered lactation visits. Click the link below that says "Wildflower" to verify your insurance information. If approved for these services, insurance plans may cover up to 6 lactation consultations with no out-of-pocket cost to you. (Travel fee may apply and is not billable to insurance)
Option 4: Self-pay
Self-pay pricing options are listed under "services". We accept cash, check and payments via Square for self-pay clients. (Square works with any US-issued and most internationally-issued magstripe or chip cards, and also supports mobile wallets such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay, and Afterpay)
